Why do you need an email list?
What’s the point of having an email list? Probably the simple fact that every single person has an email address would be a really good reason to have an email list, because if you have their email address, then you’re always in their face, and what do people check every single day? Probably Multiple Times a day? Ummm… probably their email address. What do you have to have when you want to sign up for a social media account? An email address. What do the doctors ask for? An email address.
How & Where do you set up an email list?
Hopefully that answers your question about why you need one, so now you know why you need an email list, but how do you actually set one up?
MailChimp
Well, you’re in Luck, because I already created a video on how to actually do this on MailChimp, which you can get started on for free.

It’s a great place to start. If you’re trying to get set up and maybe you’re limited on funds or you just want to play around and learn the ropes. ActiveCampaign
I need to be the bearer of bad news. I actually don’t use MailChimp. It’s one of my most popular videos that I’ve ever made, but I really don’t use it. I actually use active campaign and I know that sucks and I probably seem awful for having to say that, but I use active campaign because I just really like the features more.
Plus, they came to Atlanta and I went to one of their seminars. It’s just been a better experience for me and all of the clients that I set up email lists for. I always require them to use active campaign at this point just because it’s seamless for me. So you do actually have to pay to use ActiveCampaign. They may have a free trial.

Compare For Your Needs
I’ll put links to both MailChimp and active campaign below this video and all the stuff that I mentioned, so you can check that out for yourself.
I’m sure you can figure out what fits you and I’ll just say things that are free may not always be the best fit for you and they may not always be easy.
I personally think the active campaign is a little bit easier than MailChimp. Those are two options that I would start with for your email marketing software.
One would be MailChimp and my second one would be active campaign.
How To Get Email List Subscribers
Okay, so now you know why you need an email list and how you can get started Setting one up for yourself, both with active campaign or MailChimp, whichever one suits your business, your needs, and maybe just your personality, but do you know how to get people to actually subscribe to your email list?
That’s probably the best question of all and opt in offers is what you would call it. You want to give them some type of opt in, offer, some reason to join your list.
You’re probably like “Oh my gosh. What should I offer them?”
Well, It depends on your business. You got to create something that’s gonna make people want to join. And what I think everybody’s wondering is how do you get people to subscribe to your email list?
EXAMPLE:
I know how I get people to subscribe to my email list is kind of like when you’re watching this video, I’ll say something like, so now you know why you need an email list and how to set one up, but do you know how to actually get people to subscribe, don’t you worry I’ve created a guide and a process that’s going to help you do this below this video and it’s going to be super simple and easy.
